In the finale of The Duke Of Death And His Maid Season one, “Together with the Duke,” ‘Duke is taken aback seeing Gerbera in a good mood.
Gerbera thinks Alice is Sharon and opens up emotionally since she is a good friend.
Viola and Duke arrive at the garden where the latter is cursed by the witch, wherein she reveals her and Walter s’ jealousy as he lives far away from their mother.
During dinner, Gerbera tells everyone that a family heir is needed since their father is terminally ill, and if Duke doesn’t break his curse till next spring, Will become the heir.
Duke passionately delivers a speech about her love for Alice, but Gerbera refuses to let him marry a maid as Duke calls and accuses her of treating children like possession.
After Duke storms out, Gerbera feels proud of him as he is able to stand up to her.
Duke tells Alice what he told Gerbera and states he still wants to marry her no matter what.
