But destiny has different plans for Nasa Yuzaki when he sees a mysterious girl and is distracted by her beauty. As he admires the girl, he is hit by a truck only to be saved by her in the nick of time. He follows her and confesses his love, revealing her name as Tsukasa Tsukuyomi.

Tsukasa tells Nasa that she is willing to accept his proposal if he agrees to marry her. Nasa Yuzaki agrees to her stipulation but falls asleep at the exact moment. After waking, Tsukasa disappears as Nasa returns to his ambition-filled life.

On his 18th birthday, he receives a knock on the door, and the visitor is none other than Tsukasa, who returns to fulfill the commitment Nasa had made to her. How these work out their so-called marriage and what is the secrets behind Tsukasa’s character are the central plot of the show.

On 6th November 2021, the show’s official Twitter account released a teaser that confirmed Tonikawa over the moon for you has been renewed for a second season.

The same confirmation was also made in the Weekly Shonen Sunday issue 50,2021, which featured cover art for Tonikawa over the moon for you season 2.

TV Anime “TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Season 2” to receive 04-Episode OVA series titled “TONIKAWA: Over The Moon – Girls’ High School” (Tonikaku Kawaii: Joshikou-hen).

Tonikawa over the moon, season one aired from 3rd October 2020 till 19th December 2020. As of June 2022, there is no official confirmation for Tonikawa over the moon for you season 2 release date.

We expect Tonikawa to be over the moon for you season 2 to release in late 2022 or early 2023 with 12 episodes.

Tonikawa over the moon for you manga is written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata. It was first serialized in 2018 in Weekly Shonen Sunday. So far, 20 volumes comprising 100 chapters have been published. The first volume was released on 18th May 2019, and the last issue came out on 17th June 2022.

The final episode of Tonikawa over the moon for you, season one, “Husband and Wife,” concluded the series beautifully. We see Nasa overworking himself, which causes him to get a cold. Tsukasa tells him to take a rest, and she cares for him overnight.

The couple attends the summer festival wearing Yukatas, where they eat Takoyaki and prau at a shrine. They meet Aya and Chitose at the festival in a goldfish catching game. In the final scene, we see Nasa and Tsukasa watching the fireworks with Kaname, Aya, and Chitose.

The second season will look to answer the important question of Who Tsukasa is and how she is connected to princes Kaguya. We won’t spoil too much, but one look at this cover art of Volume 16 will reveal some significant spoilers for the Tsukasa s’ backstory. 

The mystery revolving around the house fire would also be explored as to its suspected that Tsukasa would have survived the inferno but not Nasa. 

Tonikawa season 2 would also delve deep into the marriage life of Nasa and Tsukasa. Maybe not a honeymoon, but a date will be on the cards, unveiling many new details about the two characters.
