Anyone who’s been watching anime for long enough, must have developed a taste for shows that will be of interest based on their plot synopsis and genre.
Naturally, there are always going to be exceptions – whether that be an anime you thought you’d like, only to find it didn’t live up to its potential, or an anime you were less sure about managing to completely blow your expectations out of the water.

Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun is fantasy-comedy series, anime adapted by Bandai Namco Pictures from the manga writings of Osamu Nishi.
The story revolves around a fourteen-year-old boy, named after the show’s title, which is sold to a demon by his irresponsible and selfish parents.
Fortunately, the demon in question, known as Sullivan, merely wishes the boy to become his grandson so that he may shower him with affection.
Enrolling him in the demon school Babyls, Iruma desperately tries to keep a low profile in fear of being eaten by his peers should they discover that he’s human but, try as he might, he continuously finds himself in situations that only ever seem to make him stand out.
Furthermore, his self-appointed Grandpa is the chair demon at his new school and wastes no time in letting everyone know that Iruma is his beloved grandchild.
After being made to address the assembly and chanting a forbidden spell in front of everyone, Iruma instantly earns a reputation he does not want – things only escalate from there!
Before the ‘Fall 2019’ anime season had even started airing, Iruma-kun wasn’t exactly high up on the seasonal charts, and its promotional Video did very little to convince anyone that it was going to be something worth checking out.
But looks can be deceiving, and thankfully there was just enough buzz and excitement around this show from those within the community for it become gain popularity.

WELCOME TO DEMON SCHOOL IRUMA-KUN MANGA CATCHUP
Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun manga is written by Osamu Nishi and began serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion on 2nd March 2017.
As of writing, the manga has been collected into 28 volumes with 240 chapters since 7th July 2017, and the latest issue came out on 8th August 2022. Eighteen chapters are yet to be collected into a volume format.
If we look at the manga sales, the first fifteen volumes sold over 2.5 million copies, and as of September 2020, more than 5 million copies have been sold. As of April 2022, Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun manga was ranked 23rd on the Top 25 Best Selling Manga of 2022 with 630,00 copies sold.

WELCOME TO DEMON SCHOOL IRUMA-KUN SEASON 3 PLOT
In the second season’s final episode, “The One Who Rules Over the Netherworld,” we see Iruma completing the homework given by Kalego after losing in the Walter Park competition.
Sullivan buys some books on prophecies about the demon king and is asked by the people why he hasn’t become the Demon King. He explains that the disappeared Demon King Derkila wasn’t like Iruma and explains how a demon King is chosen.
To become the ruler of the netherworld, one must get the maximum support of the Thirteen Crowns, as once elected as the Demon King, the duties are immense.
Sullivan wonders if Iruma can become the next Demon King, to which he shows nothing but feeble concern. The episode concludes with Kalegeo informing the misfits about the loss of Royal Classroom if they don’t get the required grades.
The second season completes the “End of Final Days Arc,” and Iruma kun season 3 will begin with Second Term Saga and Special Tutor Training Arc.
The misfits of the class would require a Demon Rank 4 to keep the Royal Classroom and to achieve this rank, and the class will be involved in a Harvest Festival.
The event will begin with students being taken into the wings of special tutors who will nurture their abilities. The Harvest Festival will require the first years to complete the harvest as Iruma is teamed up with Shax Lied.
