Why Johnny Depp Isn’t In Fantastic Beasts 3?

The Fantastic Beasts 3 release date is finalized, and fans are excited about the next part, but all are asking one question, ‘Why Johnny Depp is NOT in it?’

The Wizard world doesn’t end with Harry Potter, as other famous premieres were released based on J. K. Rowling’s books. The foundation of Fantastic Beasts began with one of the novels of J. K. Rowling, named Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a handbook for fantastic beasts.

The first part of Fantastic Beats, popularly known as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, was released in 2016, created by David Yates. The film included various famous actors, which are Katherine Waterson (Tina), Ezra Miller (Credence Barebone), Jon Voight (Henry Shaw Sr.), Johnny Depp (Gellert Grindelwald), Colin Farrel (Percival Graves), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), and Samantha Morton (Mary Lou Barebone).

The first and the second part, named Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, was extremely loved by the viewers. However, it received criticism too. Because of the love is given, another part, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, is being released in 2022.

Johnny Depp movies have been a sensation since the start. He started his Hollywood career with The Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984. And till now, his movies are given unconditional love by the viewers.

The no-show of Johnny Depp in the Fantastic Beasts 3 have broken many of the fan’s heart, and everyone is questioning why he’s not in it?

The answer to that question is because of his personal life controversy. During the pre-production of Fantastic Beasts The Secrets of Dumbledore, his personal life got entangled in many discussions. A few years back, a Newspaper Firm named News Group Newspapers published an article accusing Johnny Depp of being a wife-beater.

Johnny sued the Newspapers Firm, and it attracted a lot of audiences. The divorce process happened from the side of Amber Heard, and at the same time, the lawsuit wasn’t easy for Johnny against the News Group Newspapers.

Due to all this, Johnny faced a tremendous amount of loss and Warner Bros, the entertainment organization, asked him to resign from the Fantastic Beasts 3 premiere. Johnny agreed and left the role of Gellert Grindelwald. The Fantastic Beasts producer is generous, as Johnny Depp went, but they gave him the total amount he earned with his hard work.

Fantastic Beasts 3 Release Date

The next part will be released on 8th April 2022. In Fantastic Beasts 3, the role of Gellert Grindelwald will now be played by Mads Mikkelsen. The film also went through a lot of loss because of the recasting, the shooting, and everything had to be done again.

Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen, a Danish actor, started his career in the film industry from Pusher’s film debut. He was known worldwide because of his antagonist role in James Bond and Casino Royal premieres. He is cast by Warner Bros for the Fantastic Beasts 3 film.

One question that remains unknown is that whether more films casting Johnny Depp related to Wizard World will be released in the future or not. However, this controversy and its results were a big shock to the Fantastic Beasts franchise, with the next part, Fantastic Beasts 3, coming up.
