It has been more than two years since the second season of the Black Spot was released on Netflix on 14 June 2019. the fans of this series are desperately waiting for its third season.

Black Spot is a French-Belgian TV show that was aired on France 2 on 10 April 2017. In France, this series is known as Zone Blanche. Initially, the first season of the Black Spot was aired in France. After that, Netflix acquired the rights of the Black Spot series and released the series across the world in November 2017. The first season of this series got a positive response from across the world. In the first season, there were a total of 8 episodes. After some time, On 14 June 2019, the second season of this series was aired on Netflix.

Black spot storyline

The story of the Black Spot series revolves around an imaginary small village, “Villefranche,” in France where supernatural and mysterious things happen. The village is situated in the center of the dense forest in the mountains. Sun’s rays do not even reach this village. All this can be seen through the inhabitants of the village. Very few people live in this village, and the number of people here decreased day by day.

There were two different explanations for the number of people decreasing. The people knew how hard it was to live here and leave this village. the second explanation is that the people who had dared to live here get murdered for send to another world. the murder rate was six times higher than other places that why this village is considered the scariest place in the nation.

Major Laurene(the Lead character in this series) works as the head of police in the village. She spent her entire life in this village, and she faced death many times. She tried to solve the mystery of this village and then found that all of this starts with a lady’s death by knife and the body of the lady hanging on a tree that has a connection with an earlier case. Along with that, a girl is missing, and a local sawmill is closed.

Now to investigate the situation, lawyer Franck arrived in the village. Franck does not know anything about the village. In season 3, we will see how police and lawyer work together to solve these mysteries.

Will there be Black Spot Season 3?

The series Black Spot has a huge fan base, and this series got an IMDb rating of 7.5 out of 10. The first season of Black Spot got a great success in France and across the world, but unfortunately, The second season of Black Spot did not get the same positive response in France as its first season but got a good response worldwide. So we hope for Black Spot season 3.
