Blood Of Zeus Season 2 Release Date Confirmed in Winter 2023
Thundering its way for another season, the gods are back to the fight for Olympus. Blood of Zeus Season 2, let’s go!
There is a sense of awe and denial when we hear stories of Gods. The human intellect finds it satisfying to draw parallels between ordinary humans to those of supreme divinity. In recent times, Netflix has done well to capture this emotion and turn it into believable stories.
Blood of Zeus, created by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, was released on 27th October 2020 on Netflix. The series became an instant hit as it soared to the charts of Top 10 Shows within a week.
Only eight-episode episodes long, it follows the story of Heron, the bastard child of Zeus who is tipped to save the world by the thunder god himself. Heron must acknowledge his ancestry and find the courage to fight against his own illegitimate family.
With a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.5/10 on IMBD, Blood of Zeus anime was also placed third on Netlifx top 10 shows. So, it comes as no surprise renewal for Blood of Zeus Season 2 has been announced.

What is the release date of Blood of Zeus Season 2?
Although the Blood of Zeus Season 2 release date was not stated, but the renewal for a second season was confirmed by Netflix. A virtual post on Netflix Geeked s’ Twitter Page tweeted, “The Fates have news! Heron’s adventures will continue in season 2 of Blood of Zeus.”
As of writing, there has been no update on the premier of Blood of Zeus Season 2. The wait has been long as the first season dropped in late 2020.
Usually, anime production, on average, takes one year, and powerhouse Animation is already busy with the hit series Castlevania. Hence, it’s most likely expected that Blood of Zeus Season 2 will drop in winter 2023.

Not to jump the gun, but the show’s creators have planned for five seasons (i.e. if Netflix picks it up) as the story of Heron is one of the most interesting in Greek Mythology.
Hopefully, there is some official announcement regarding Blood of Zeus Season 2 release date.
Has Netflix released a Blood of Zeus Season 2 Trailer?
Netflix is very quiet on any footage or clip release for Blood of Zeus Season 2. The usual fake trailers/ teasers are doing the rounds, but there is no official trailer from Netflix.
What will be the plot of Blood of Zeus Season 2?
If anything, Greek Mythology taught us that family drama is a central theme of all their stories, and it shall be no different in Blood Zeus Season 2.
The first season albeit only eight episodes long is packed with many stories, an action some fantastic animation. Creators Charley and Vlas Parlapanides said the main focus of Blood of Zeus Season 1 was on the Heron-Seraphim story.
They say that Blood of Zeus Season 2 will expand more on the past of the three brothers, Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The three brothers divided and ruled heaven, hell and the seas amongst them. The new season will delve into how this division was done and how Hades kept the titans under control.
Blood of Zeus Season 2 will also show a power struggle as neither Zeus nor Hera is seated on Mount Olympus. The orphan throne could result in an all-out war as Heron, our protagonist, tries to preserve his father s’ legacy. The contenders are only going to increase.
In season one, Blood of Zeus, Hera was hugely prominent as she schemed her way to kill Zeus. She might be hurt, but with her hate towards Heron and quest for power, she is returning to claim the throne. It shall be intriguing to see how the rest of the gods receive her as Zeus sacrificed his life to save her.
We also must not forget Hades, the God of the underworld. He was shown as relatively neutral and reserved in Blood of Zeus season one. The master of Cerberus (guard dogs of hell) is conniving and powerful.
There is a suspicion that, along with Seraphim, he might hatch a plan to overtake everyone, leave the underworld and finally rule from Mount Olympus. He could be the main villain for Blood of Zeus Season 2.
Seraphim had to bend the knee again as he did to Hera; one can assume he won’t be too thrilled to take orders from Hades.
The thunder God may be dead as of now, but fans need not worry as Jason O’ Mara will be back as the voice of Zeus.
As a Greek mythology buff and SMITE fan (MOBA game), I can’t wait to see how the creators bring this to our screens.
