Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4 Release Date Announced + Trailer And Key Art Revealed
Bungou Stray Dogs season 4 is greenlit for release with a brand new trailer!
Every anime fan has at least one anime that they consider underrated. But if you’ve ever gone deep into the cracks and crevices of the anime community to see what others consider “underrated,” you may have heard the chants of everyone screaming “Dazai, Dazai, Dazai!!”.
At some point, you must have wondered who is “Dazai.” Why is he pulling so many girls? Well, to answer only one of those questions, Dazai is from the series called Bungou Stray Dogs.
Bungou Stray Dogs is an action-mystery anime based on the manga written by Kafka Asagiri and an anime adapted by Studio Bones.
The story begins with our protagonist, Atsushi Nakajima, who is on the verge of dying from starvation due to his recent eviction from his orphanage.
Just when he is about to bite it, a strange man appears to be drowning in a nearby river. Nakajima uses what little energy he has left to rescue this stranger, and it turns out he rescues Osamu Dazai, a suicide enthusiast as well as a supernatural detective.
Dazai’s partner, Doppo Kunikida, shows up shortly afterward, and they all go out for a bite to eat. During their meal, the detectives tell Nakajima they are searching for a tiger that is loose on the streets of Yokohama.
In a strange turn of events, the tiger is none other than Nakajima himself, even though he isn’t aware of his ability to transform into a tiger. Dazai sees potential in Nakajima, and with his supernatural ability and nowhere else to go, Nakajima decides to join their detective agency with his new fellow gifted friends to solve crimes and take down any supernatural enemies.
The majority of the show focuses on the Agency fighting against Port Mafia, a criminal organization that wants Nakajima because of his ability to turn into a tiger.
The appeal of Bungou Stray Dogs comes from its cast, its interactions, and its light heartedness. It’s also a nice bonus that it’s incredibly produced by studio Bones, who have given hit shows like My Hero Academia and Mob Psycho 100
In a similar fashion to series like Haikyuu or Boku no Hero, Bungou Stray Dogs feature aspects that make it appeal to a wide demographic.
Bungou Stray Dogs features a mostly male cast like much other seinen or shonen anime, but here the characters have close and intimate bonds with one another.
This may pique the interest of more than just guys who want to see other guys beating each other. Finally, the characters aren’t sexualized and used for fanservice which can put off many viewers.
Bungou Stray Dogs has completed three seasons, and fans were already demanding the fourth season. Are you a fan of Bungou Stray Dogs? If so, keep reading to learn more about the latest updates on Bungou Stray Dogs season 4.
