What Happened in The Witcher Season 2?

The action-packed finale unfolds with a series of dramatic events. Francesca’s elven baby is tragically murdered, triggering intense anguish that unleashes the deathless mother with whom Francesca had struck a deal. The deathless mother sets out to possess Ciri. Fearing a Northern attack, Francesca kills human infants, leading the elves away.
Meanwhile, a possessed Ciri starts murdering slumbering witchers in Kaer Morhen. A concealed monolith within the witcher tree is unveiled, releasing basilisks that attack the remaining witchers, Jaskier, Geralt, and Yennefer.
