I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2: Release Date Predictions + Plot Spoilers
I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2, will it ever happen?
Fantasy animes are simply the go-to series if anyone wants to enjoy an out-of-the-world experience. Whether pairing it with isekai or comedy, fantasy animes have mostly been fun to watch.
Like any year, Spring 2022 had numerous fantasy releases, including the anime adaption of Quantum s’ light novel series, I’m Quitting Heroing.
The plot follows Leo Demonheart, who is universally accepted as the strongest hero after he defeats the Demon Queen Echidna and her Elite Four generals.
Instead of finding gratitude from the people he saved, Leo is met with disdain as many begin to worry that his strength could eventually become human s’ demise.
As a result, Leo is soon banished from the kingdom he once saved and began wandering aimlessly throughout the land.
One day, he hears that Echidna is recruiting members to rebuild her army, which prompts him to return to her castle and offer help.
Naturally, Echidna refuses his assistance, but Leo convinces her generals to let him in and work under their supervision.
Leo masquers as a dark knight Onyx and becomes an essential member of the Demon Army. He soon learns that Echidna wants to obtain the Philosopher’s Stone so that she can make the Demon World fertile again.
Why did Echidna start the war in the first place, and what is the truth behind Leo s’ incredible power is the central plot of the show.

I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2 | Yet to be Announced |
Production Studios consider various financial and commercial metrics before announcing a renewal.
As mentioned earlier, I’m Quitting Heroing Season one was only a relative success as other Spring 2022 fantasy series like The Demon Girl Next Door 2, Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs and Healer Girl was much well received.
The first season was overall not bad but also not great, a fact that is backed up by its IMDB user episode rating.

Even if the reviews and ratings get a pass, a crucial factor for renewal will be the availability of the studio.
Currently, Studio EMT Squared has two new series (Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch! and the Aristocrat’s Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far) on air while another (Isekai de Mofumofu Nadenade Suru Tameni Ganbattemasu) is scheduled to release in 2024.
The studio is not known for sequels, with only four produced since 2015. Furthermore, 2 OVAs have also been released after the first season, which could indicate that the studio has wrapped up with, I’m Quitting Heroing content.
All in All, it appears that Studio EMT Squared won’t be renewed for a second season.
Nevertheless, if by miracle a renewal does come to fruition, then we can expect some updates on I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2 trailer, and I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2 release date by spring 2024.

I’M QUITTING HEROING SEASON 2 PLOT
In the finale of I’m Quitting Heroing Season one, “I’m Quitting Heroing,” Leo, in his final moments, ejects the philosopher stone from his internals.
Echidna inquires as to whether he has any second thoughts, but he just apologizes for creating problems.
Echidna nearly eliminates the stone but alters her perspective and reports Leo has passed his probation. He is recruited as her envoy to the human world, accountable for harmony among evil presences.
Leo asks to bite the dust, so Shutina requests to know his genuine intention. He concedes by thinking about obliterating humankind, he has perilously advanced past the orders his creators customized him with.
By that rationale, Shutina advises him to develop the capacity to disregard the programming. Doubtful, Leo endeavors to do so and is fruitful in erasing the request to safeguard humankind that has made him frantic for a long time.
As time passes, Leo seals the stone inside him and cheerfully consents to Echidna’s solicitation.
Echidna later inquires whether he laments losing what could have been his only chance to die, but Leo denies it as he is glad to help Echidna.
They are unexpectedly hindered by Julietta, who, from the get-go, thinks they have a heartfelt moment which Echidna viciously, yet embarrassingly, denies.
Julietta uncovers while they are gone, a heap of work has stacked up, requiring their consideration. Leo starts functioning, happy that he is finally ready to stop heroing.
I’m Quitting Heroing Season one covered the first volume of the light novel, which means I’m Quitting Heroing Season 2 will begin by adapting Volume 2.
After retiring, Leo and the Demon army prepare to travel to Echidna s hometown, where he has promised to rebuild the devastation that has been caused.
But before that, Leo is tasked to slay a dragon and discuss diplomatic terms with humans.
One of the new Yuusha Yamemasu Season 2 characters will be Maze-maker Canaan. She’s a 105-year-old succubus who is a part dark elf and is adept at dark affinity magic like cursing but is prone to having delusions.
Leo will also have a reunion with DH-06 Virgo the Immortal, another one of the 12 Demonhart Human Bioweapons developed in 2060 that managed to survive the millennia of wars. And, yes, that does mean we’ll learn more about what happened in the distant past.
