Taron Egerton States MCU Wolverine in Doctor Strange 2 Rumors Are Not True
Doctor Strange in the Madness of Multiverse, the upcoming phase 4 of the multiverse, has got many rumours around about Wolverine’s debut in MCU, but Taron Egerton denies it.
The next project of the multiverse in MCU is on its way; Doctor Strange in the Madness of Multiverse will be released on May 6, 2022. The official trailer of Doctor Strange 2 was released recently, which gave a lot of information for the fans to ponder upon. With the trailer, many rumours have been going around about the potential characters that would appear in phase 4.
The events of Doctor Strange 2 will pick up from the adventures of Doctor Strange in the last released movie of MCU, Spider-Man: No Way Home. In No Way Home, Doctor Strange tried helping Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, with his identity problem with a spell. But the spell went wrong because of Peter’s request to modify the effects of the spell. As a consequence, the multiverse opened up, and all the villains of Spider-Man entered Tom Holland’s universe. However, in the end, Doctor Strange sorted out everything and sent the villains back to their own universes.
In one of the post-credits scenes of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange was shown entangled with the multiverse again, may be facing some kind of chaos of multiverse which was previously opened up wrong through the spell.
In the official trailer, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) asks Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) about her knowledge and experience with the multiverse. Later, Stephan Strange was shown in handcuffs with some robots taking him to a trial. As a consequence of multiverse manipulation, Stephan Strange was called before some kind of board, and one voice is heard, which is suspected to be of Professor X’s character, played by Patrick Stewart. The entrance of Professor X in MCU opens up a large number of possibilities for X-Men characters to join the MCU.
The premiere of Doctor Strange 2 will be available for the audience on May 6, 2022. And as time goes by, new information appears day-by-day, flooding the minds of fans with a lot of questions. As a matter of fact, Doctor Strange 2 premiere is directed by Sam Raimi, who created the trilogy of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.
With the trailer revealing new facts, the premiere is being teased about the characters that will be appearing like Christine Palmer, Wong, and different variants of Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch. Some potential characters which are suggested by the fans who might appear are Professor X, Loki, Iron Man and Wolverine.
Taron Egerton Wolverine Rumors – Denied
On ‘The One Show’, an interview with Alex Jones and Taron Egerton happened, in which Taron was asked about the theories of fans suggesting the appearance of Wolverine in Doctor Strange 2. Taron Egerton rejects all these theories, but he did share some excitement about the idea of X-Men entering MCU.
Taren Egerton says, “There’s no truth in it at all. There’s no truth in it. It would be, obviously, really exciting, but I don’t know…That’s like playing Bond. It would be exciting to play a role where you play to by such a huge audience. Those movies are the most watched movies in the world. It’s a great thrill and it’s a great part. But there’s no truth in it. Very flattering, though.”
Wolverine Taren Egerton was filled with energy with the thought of him joining MCU, and he stated that it would be a privilege to follow the steps of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
With so many rumours about phase 4, one is down, as Taren Egerton clarified the appearance of Wolverine in the upcoming premiere. Well, there are many unconfirmed rumours about the characters entering the madness of the multiverse. A new character, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), among some old characters, Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Christine Palmer (Rachel Adams), will be appearing.
However, another case might be Taren Egerton is following the steps of Andrew Garfield and lying about the role of X-Men in Doctor Strange 2 because the fans won’t be able to forget that. And the theories of X-Men and Professor X in MCU are not without a good reason. If that happens, Doctor Strange 2 would be a perfect opportunity for the entry of X-Men in MCU.
