Despite his self-proclaimed perfect life, Satoru’s biggest problem is his lack of a girlfriend. To make matters worse, Satoru is stabbed and killed during catchup with his college and her fiancé.

As he is paling into his death, a voice begins chanting multiple unrecognizable commands which Satoru fails to understand. After the fatal incident, he wakes up and finds himself reincarnated in a completely different world.

But that’s not the biggest surprise as his body has been turned into a blob of blue slime, which he later finds out can mimic and devour anything using the ” predator power.”

 He meets a dragon called Veldora, who has been sealed for 300 years for creating havoc and burning the town down to ashes. The slime Satoru promises to free him as the Veldora renames Satoru Rimuru.

Due to the friendship of Rimuru and Veldora, the power struggle between the town and the dragon is broken as a result, Rimuru becomes the new leader of the great forest of Jura.

Can Rimuru break the shackles of Veldora and protect the inhabitants of Jura from invading foreign powers is the central plot of the show.

The show’s first season ran from 5th October to 22nd March 2019 for 24 episodes. The second season was split into two parts, with part one airing from 12th January 2021 till 30th March 2021 for 12 episodes and part two running from 6th July 2021 to 21st September 2021 for 12 episodes.

As of writing, there is no update or announcement from the creators on a renewal for Time I got reincarnated as a slime season 3.

But there is more than enough evidence to suggest that the show will get renewed for a third season.

Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime light novel is written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It began serialization in Micro Magazine on 30th May 2014. The light novel has been compiled into 14 volumes, with the latest issue being on 29th March 2019.

The light novel is ongoing, and 20 volumes are listed till 30th September 2022.

The anime adapted the first six volumes of the light novels, which means there is more than enough source material for a third and even a fourth season.

In the second season, the significant event which took place was the Tempest invasion by the Falmuth Kingdom. Rimuru is left devasted seeing his place taken over and turns into a demon lord to bring back his people.

To regain Tempest, Rimuru locks down a plan to take down the invader Clayman by building an army of Tempest s’ finniest warriors. Rimuru brings down the usurper Clayman and the demon lords step down from their positions with a name change to Octagram.

Reincarnated As A Slime Season 3 will begin by adapting the seventh volume. After Clayman is slayed, Rimuru faces another threat from Hinata Sakaguchi who is the leader of Crusader forces.

Rimuru s’ action is met with an assault by the the Holy Kingdom who kill his priest during a meeting of Lebelius.

The final showdown between Rimuru and Hinata will be one of the most anticipated battles in Reincarnated As A Slime Season 3.
