Worlds End Harem Season 2: Renewal Status + Release Date Predictions
Worlds End Harem Season 2, will it happen?
Whether you like Ecchi and harem animes, one cannot deny the popularity and demand for them from the fanbase.
Most of these series often come without a progressive plot as the key focus is on fanservice featuring lewd girls throwing themselves on the main character.
One such anime portraying this trope was privy to the Winter 2022 slate as the anime adaption of LINK s’ Shuumatsu no Harem manga series hit the small screens.
The plot follows a medical student of the National Advanced Medical School named Reito Mizuhara, who is affected by a rare disease called cellular Sclerosis.
To get treated and find a cure for the disease, Reito is out into a cryogenic sleep for five years. He awakens after a year and learns that all men on earth have been killed by a pandemic caused by the Male Killer virus.
The death rate of the virus is 99.99%; however, in Japan, only five men, including Reito, have survived after being put into cryogenic sleep.
Being one of the five men, Reito is required to participate in a breeding program to repopulate the earth.
The program dictates that Reito must impregnate as many women as possible in order to replenish the male population.
However, Reito does not want to spoil his commitment to her childhood friend and lover, Elisha Tachibana, who has been missing for three years.
Can Reito fight off the temptations of multiple women and find the secret behind the Male Killer virus and the missing Elisha is the central plot of the show.

SEASON | RELEASE DATE |
Worlds End Harem Season 1 | 8th October 2021 |
Worlds End Harem Season 2 | Yet to be Announced |
Production studios consider various financial and commercial metrics before announcing a renewal.
As mentioned earlier, Worlds End Harem season one was extremely underwhelming in reviews.
Anime purists and manga readers were highly critical of the series s’ lack of narrative as it skipped many important aspects of character development.
However, series like Worlds End Harem are not for anime purists as the chief demographic of its consumption is watching for fanservice, a sentiment further echoed by its decent IMDB user episode ratings.

Speaking of fanservice, there are two versions of Worlds Harem End, i.e., Censored and Uncensored.
Fans who watched the censored version were mostly disappointed as it blacked out even the simplest of ecchi scenes.
Considering animes like Redo of Healer feature many uncensored lewd in their tv releases, it’s only fair that fans would expect the same from Worlds End Harem.
Although it is understandable why the creators do it as they want the viewers to buy the uncensored discs as an incentive.
According to Kudasai, the first Blu-ray volume of Shuumatsu no Harem sold a total of 2,631 copies. The second box saw a spike in sales, selling 3,406 in its first week.Overall, the disc sales are decent and could prove key in warranting a renewal.
Plotwise the anime ended on a cliffhanger with Reito Reunited with Erisa which, albeit enticing for renewal, shifts the tone of the anime from ecchi to adventure as characters begin to explore the ramifications of the dystopian world.
Keeping aside reviews and ratings, a crucial factor for renewal will be the availability of studio and source material.
Currently, studio Gokumi has three new animes scheduled for 2023, while AXsiZ has two; hence it’s safe to assume both studios are busy with other projects. All in All, the chances of renewal look slim as the studios are occupied with other possibly lucrative projects.
Nevertheless, if the two studios return for a sequel at their discretion, we can expect Worlds End Harem Season 2 trailer and Worlds End Harem Season 2 release date by the summer of 2024.
