TITANS SEASON 4: FILMING RESUMES + PREMIERE DATE, AND NEW CAST REVEALED
Titans Season 4 is on its way as the director confirms part two of the shooting has begun.
MCU might consider themselves as the superhero-scene dominators, but DC would never let them have all the fun. TV shows like Supergirl, Flash, Black Lightning, and Titans have recently remained fan favorites. The much-anticipated show from DC Extended Universe season 4 of Titans will be coming soon to your screens.
The show didn’t start on the best note, with many fans calling it a disappointing live-action debut from DC Universe.
Titans were in danger of being canceled after its second season due to low ratings and were also criticized for being too dark and violent. It wasn’t helped by DC universe as it stopped streaming digital content, and the show was moved to HBO max.
The series followed the adventures of the titular Titans, a team of superheroes consisting of Robin, Raven, Beast Boy, Starfire, and others. These heroes band together to form the Titans and fight off a powerful enemy as they also work as a surrogate family.
The third season was the show’s turning point as it fixed most issues from seasons past, and fans loved Red Hood as a brutal villain. There are enough surprises, fatalities, and cursing to mark Titans Season 3 as the show finally achieving its proper stride.
The change in narrative and direction was also reflected in its rating on Rotten Tomatoes Titans is 100% fresh, and IMBD rates as 7.6/10.
Reviews of the third season have been positive, with critics regarding it as an improvement over the past season. The turnaround in fortunes for Titans has made sure the series has been renewed for a fourth season.
But when does Titans Season 4 release, and who will be the new cast members? Keep scrolling to find out more.
WHAT IS THE PREMIER DATE FOR TITANS SEASON 4?
During the 2021 DC FanDome event, actor Brenton Thwaites, who plays Dick Grayson / Nightwing on the show, confirmed the series would return for another season.
As of writing, there is no update from the creators on the Titans season 4 release date. But ScreenRant reported that one of the fans revealed via Twitter that according to Thwaites, Titans season 4 is targeting an October release date.
Filming for the fourth season began on February 28, 2022, and is scheduled to conclude on September 30, 2022.Director Nicholas Copus confirmed on his Instagram that the second part of the season 4 has resumed after a two-week break.
There were many rumors about the reduced episode count for the fourth season, as Titans season 3 took more time developing characters than the action itself.
The rumor was quickly dispelled by Titans director Boris Mojsovski who, in response to a comment asking how many episodes the season would have, the director wrote, “12”.
HBO is yet to release a Titans season 4 trailer and an official poster.
TITANS SEASON 4 PLOT: LEX LUTHOR VILLIAN?
In the Third season, the Titans relocated to Gotham City following the death of Robin/Jason Todd (Curran Walters) and the disappearance of Batman/Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen).
Titans season 3 had the team go up against Jonathan Crane (Vincent Kartheiser), known to many Batman fans as the Scarecrow, and a revived Jason Todd, who took up the mantle of the Red Hood. It later concluded with the team returning to San Francisco as Robin has Rachel use the pit’s dark magic on Crane.
Titans season 4 will look to pick up from season 3 as the Brotherhood of Evil is set for an introduction adopting from the Friends and Foes Alike. Beast Boy would be central to this storyline which has been under the shadows since season one.
The Brotherhood of Evil is responsible for his parent’s deaths, so it would give him a chance to display more emotion than what we’ve gotten so far.
We have already seen a new look of Beast Boy from behind-the-scenes images where he is seen wearing a bangle. Rumors are that the bangle is a transforming device that will assist him in perfecting his animal transformations.
In Titans season 3, he was unable to transform into a bat. As a result, the new season brings not only a new outfit but also a new device to hone his powers.
It seems The Brotherhood of Evil isn’t going to be the only villain, as a report from The Illuminerdi says the iconic and infamous Superman villain Lex Luthor is set to take the stage at some point during Titans’ fourth season.
The article states that:
The Titans were already going to have their hands full fighting Brother Blood, Jinx, and Mother Mayhem. While we do not know if Lex Luthor’s role will be antagonistic, considering his nature and long-established history as one of the most powerful criminals in the DC Universe, it seems more than likely. Perhaps Lex Luthor will fight the Titans united or face off one-on-one against Superboy, his flesh and blood.

Again, these are just rumors and unofficial news; as of writing, it’s unclear who would even play Lex Luthor.
Jon Cryer portrayed Lex Luthor in the Arrowverse, particularly on Supergirl. In the DCEU, Jesse Eisenberg played Lex Luthor as the primary antagonist of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and briefly again in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Cryer’s version was received relatively well, while Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor was extraordinarily polarizing within the DC fanbase.
Either way, Titan season 4 would look to build on the positivity of season three with even more engaging storylines and action.
