The story follows a lecherous high schooler student, Ataru, who’s not only known for chasing after women but also has the worst luck imaginable.
Ataru also has a childhood friend named Shinobu Miyake, an old flame of his, and things seem to go pretty well for them despite Ataru s’ antics.
One day Aliens come to earth and select Ataru in a challenge wherein if he can grab the horns of his daughter, Lum, in a game of tag within ten days, then the invasion is called off, and earth can continue to live on peacefully.
Ataru obviously can’t help but accept the challenge of finding a woman in a tiger stripe bikini and boots attractive, and Shinobu rightfully calls him out on his lewdness.
Ataru may have the confidence, but it isn’t until he learns that Lum can fly is when he begins to doubt himself and that no matter what he makes, his efforts always result in failure.
Lum falls in love with Ataru and wants to live as well as marry him. But Ataru already has the prettiest girl, Miyake as his girlfriend.
On the night before the final day, Ataru and Shinobu make a promise that once he is able to grab Lum by her horns, they will get married and pursue a life of happiness with one another.
Ataru finally manages to beat Lum in this game and proclaims that he can finally get married.
However, Lum mistakenly thinks this proclamation is directed toward her, and she immediately falls in love with him. So now everyone, including her dad, thinks that Ataru and Lum are going to get married, leaving Shinobu upset at the whole thing.
Can Ataru shake off this misunderstanding, and will luck finally be on his side is the central plot of the show.
Like most remakes, Urusei Yatsura Season one was received with mixed reception, with some appreciating its return while others feeling a remake was unneeded.

WHAT IS THE URUSEI YATSURA SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE?
Precisely 41 years after the first episode of the original series debut, same date this year, Urusei Yatsura anime returned with a new anime adaptation.
Furthermore, It’s already known that there will be four seasons in total, with Urusei Yatsura Season 4 finishing with Episode 46.
Urusei Yatsura Season one ran from 14th October 2022 to 23rd December 2022 for 11 episodes, and the first season was already confirmed to air over two consecutive cours.

Urusei Yatsura manga is written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It began serialization on 24th September 1978 in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine and concluded in 1987.
The manga has been collected into 34 volumes with 11 chapters, with the latest issue released on 18th March 2008.
In 1980, it received the 26th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category, as well as the 18th Seiun Award for the Best Comic category in 1987.
The manga has over 35 million copies in circulation, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
