The story of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury takes place in Ad Stella 122, 21 years after the Vanadis incident. Suletta Mercury is a lone girl who is transferred to the Asticassia School of Technology at the behest of her mother.
Asticassia School of Technology is the leading group in the mobile suit industry, where all quarrel between students is settled through duels.
Suletta meets Miorine Rembran, fiancé of the best pilot in the school Guel Jeturk who asks her to move in with him.
Suletta doesn’t like the decision and challenges him to a duel to settle the difference, which she wins, but her victory brings suspicion as she is piloting a forbidden type of Gundam.
Her victory is voided, but Miorine challenges again with higher stakes, and now Suletta must become champion once more to stop the injustice.
